Project Description
LOT #1 – OVERTON COMMUNITY CENTER, PRE-SCHOOLPLAYGROUND RENOVATION
Construction includes removal of an existing enclosure fence and poles. Rubber pads and concrete subsurface and sand. Demolition work also includes full removal of all existing playground equipment and associated fittings and connections. Existing sidewalk to remain (protect in place). The construction consists of installation of a 6 foot high non-climbable enclosure fence with exit only access gate. New Pirate theme Playground Equipment with an integrated shade canopy, and sandbox with Treasure Chest. New Construction will also consist of installing a 5’ on site concrete walkway and new flatwork. New ADA Playground Safety Surface with EPDM (Ethylene {Propylene Diene Monomer) (M-Class) rubber poured in place and landscaping. Facility to remain open for business during construction.
LOT #2 – OVERTON PARK TENNIS COURT RESURFACE AND REPLACEMENT
Selective demolition of existing concrete on both east and west courts to grind/prepare existing sub-strate to support new tennis court post-tension overlay. Existing CMU block hitting wall to be removed including foundation. Selective demolition requires removal of existing court concrete @ hitting wall and all fence and post foundations where existing fence and sports posts will be entirely replaced with new. Existing sidewalk flatwork shall be removed in order to provide new 5% maximum accessible sidewalk to court entry. New 5″ post-tension concrete overlay on entire east and west court. Contractor shall provide all new foundations, in-fill concrete and rebar at all new sports posts, new hitting wall and new perimeter fence. Contractor shall provide new accessible sidewalk to meet new increased height at 5% maximum slope. New sports equipment & fencing materials are contractor provided including all netting to provide a fully functioning tennis court (east) and basketball/pickle ball court (west). New performance sports surface coating (slip-resistant) to be applied to the east ‘tennis’ court only with the west ‘basketball/pickleball court to be broom-finished concrete.
